It is one of the most important works by Gustav Klimt (1862-1918). The Kiss, originally titled The Lovers
was painted in 1908-09, a period called Klimt’s golden phase. The painting measures 180 x 180 cm and is on display at the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere in Vienna.
